Coon Rapids Getting $7M from Federal Stimulus Bill

President Joe Biden signed a $1.9 trillion stimulus bill into law Thursday afternoon.

In addition to $1,400 stimulus checks for most Americans and extended unemployment benefits, $350 billion is being sent to state and local governments. Coon Rapids will receive just over $7 million. The county will receive about $69 million.

Local officials are still waiting on federal guidance before deciding what to do with the funding.
