A local non-profit which helps homeless youth kicked-off their end-of-the-year fundraising campaign this week.
This year's "Out of the Cold" kick-off event took place Thursday evening outside the Anoka County Sheriff's Office. In addition to the sheriff, royalty from the Halloween Capitol of the World greeted motorists who made contributions to Hope 4 Youth from the comfort of their vehicles.
On any given night in Minnesota, 6,000 youth are either homeless or don't have a stable place to live.
Hope 4 Youth exceeded their $20,000 goal on Thursday which was also "Give to the Max Day."
