Volunteers Needed for Upcoming Homeless Count

The county is looking for volunteers to help with the upcoming count of the homeless population.

A training session will take place Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. at the Anoka County Government Center.  You can also complete the training online.

Volunteers will work in pairs and new volunteers will be placed with people who have experience doing the count which will take place January 22.  The "Point In Time" count is conducted so the county can identify what's needed to help the homeless, and to apply for housing and service programs.
