There's just a few days left to file for public office. Locally, there are three city council seats and three county commissioner seats up for re-election this fall.
As of noon on Friday, June 1, only the incumbents have filed for City Council. Mayor Jerry Koch, Ward Three council member Wade Demmer and Ward Five council member Brad Johnson are all seeking another term in office.
Turning to the Anoka County Board, in District Four, which is currently served by Jim Kordiak, Sean Broom and Mandy Meisner have both filed. In District Five, incumbent Mike Gamache is the only one running so far. And in District Seven, incumbent Scott Schulte has one challenger at this point which is Dave Nelson.
