2021 Projects
2021 street reconstruction projects are underway! At its August 18, 2020 meeting, City Council approved a proposed plan to reconstruct approximately 6.6 miles of local streets. A map showing the project locations is available below. Contracts were awarded on April 20, 2021 for City street reconstruction projects 21-1 and 21-2. Property owners within these project areas were provided the following notification letters, including tentative schedules, FAQs, and contact information, via US mail:

Open House Information
Informational open houses were held via Zoom on October 14, 2020 and January 27, 2021. Typically, Engineering staff hosts two public open houses to present project information and answer questions residents and property owners may have. Due to event restrictions caused by Coronavirus (COVID-19), staff hosted live online meetings. Please check this webpage often for the latest information, and watch your mail for project notifications. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together to find solutions during this ever-changing public health situation.

Reconstruction Costs
The majority of project costs will be paid for by the City, with a portion proposed to be assessed to benefiting properties. Public and assessment hearings were conducted Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 7 p.m. Affected property owners were notified by our Assessing Department via United States Postal Service mail.
