Open House Planned for Lions Coon Creek Park Renovations

The year 2018 isn't even here yet but the city is already gearing up for the last big park improvement project planned in 2019.

On October 9, an open house will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. in the City Council Chambers to discuss renovation plans for Lions Coon Creek Park.  The public is invited to check out the latest designs and give their input before the final approvals for the project are given.

The park is one of the most popular in the city featuring play structures for all ages, basketball and volleyball courts along with picnic shelters and restrooms.

Next year, the city is making major improvements to Riverwind Park and Crooked Lake Park.
